Job Advert Summary
An opportunity as arisen at our operation in Richards Bay which seeks to employ a qualified Diesel Mechanic. The incumbent will be responsible for the servicing/repair and maintenance of all mechanical aspects of the fleet of vehicle operating out of the Depot.
Minimum Requirements
Qualified Diesel Mechanic
Strong supervisory and communication skills
A minimum of 5 years working experience as a diesel mechanic
Must be computer literate
Ability to work independently and accurately
Problem solving ability
Own transport
Drivers licence essential (must drive company vehicle when required)
Added knowledge of trucks/trailers/yellow equipment will be advantageous
Duties & Responsibilities
Repair of the vehicles
Servicing of vehicles
Maintenance/upgrade of vehicles/components
Identifies/diagnoses faults/defects
Uploading and managing of job cards accurately
Issuing of parts
Conducting daily safety toolbox talks
Accurate compiling of availability reports
Adhere to safe working procedures
Must be able to drive to and attend breakdowns
