Summary


Responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, servicing, repair, and preventive maintenance of Toyota diesel vehicles in accordance with Toyota manufacturer specifications, technical standards, quality requirements, and workshop safety procedures.


Key Responsibilities


Perform routine and preventive maintenance services on Toyota diesel vehicles, including engine oil, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, and coolant replacement.
Diagnose and troubleshoot diesel engine faults using Toyota-approved diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and technical service manuals.
Inspect, service, and repair diesel fuel injection systems, common-rail systems, turbochargers, intercoolers, and engine management systems.
Carry out engine performance checks, tune-ups, injector inspections, and fuel system diagnostics.
Inspect and repair engine, transmission, clutch, differential, braking, suspension, steering, cooling, and exhaust systems.
Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems associated with diesel engine operation, including sensors, actuators, charging, and starting systems.
Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify worn, damaged, or defective components and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
Use appropriate measuring instruments, diagnostic tools, and workshop equipment to ensure accurate fault identification and repairs.
Carry out road tests after repairs and servicing to confirm vehicle performance, reliability, and safety.
Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities comply with Toyota technical procedures, service standards, and customer requirements.
Accurately document vehicle inspections, diagnoses, repairs, parts replaced, and service activities on job orders and service records.
Communicate technical findings and repair recommendations effectively to Service Advisors, Workshop Supervisors, and customers when required.
Work closely with Service Advisors, Parts Personnel, and other technicians to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repair jobs.
Maintain proper care and accountability for workshop tools, diagnostic equipment, and service facilities.
Observe all workshop Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements, including proper use of PPE and safe handling of tools, equipment, oils, and other automotive materials.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in accordance with workshop quality standards.
Keep up to date with Toyota diesel technologies, technical bulletins, service procedures, and emerging automotive technologies through continuous training and professional development.


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


Minimum of O level certificate with at least 5 years work experience.
Knowledge in Electronic part catalogue (EPC) is an added advantage.
Automotive certifications or trainings desired
Technically inclined and able to identify spare parts and their general functions.
Demonstrated excellent organizational, and personal interface skills.
Commitment to work overtime when the needed.
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to work under pressure.
High level of professional integrity.
Strong work ethic
People friendly and team player.
Must have a driving license
