Key Responsibilities:


Ensure data quality, governance, and integrity to support trusted decision-making
Enforce documentation standards, system compliance, and audit readiness
Design and implement practical, value-driven digital solutions aligned to business needs
Lead rollout of digital initiatives, including change enablement and user training
Build and evolve scalable data platforms, enabling advanced analytics and AI adoption
Align local systems with global platforms and oversee cloud data governance
Optimise infrastructure by reducing redundancy and improving scalability and efficiency
Drive security, disaster recovery, and departmental risk management practices
Ensure compliance with SHE standards and performance requirements
Manage stakeholders, service providers, and industry partnerships
Lead team performance, recruitment, and capability development
Mentor teams and promote digital and AI-driven transformation


Requirements:


Bachelor's degree in data engineering, Information Systems, or related field
Business related Post Graduate Diploma NQF level 7 or higher
7+ years in Digital development and integration experience
7+ years in a Data Engineering or related technical role
Previous management experience
