Role Purpose
Talent Grid Africa on behalf of their client in the retail industry is hiring a Digital Marketing Manager.
The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and executing strategic marketing plans to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth.
This role will ensure the organization communicates the right messaging to attract prospective customers while strengthening engagement and retention of existing customers.
The role requires a strategic and hands-on leader who can coordinate cross-functional teams, oversee multi-channel campaigns, and continuously optimize marketing performance through data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with business objectives.
Create and manage the marketing roadmap, prioritizing initiatives that drive competitive advantage.
Lead market research to assess trends, customer needs, and product viability.
Design and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
Ensure alignment of creative and content with brand strategy and business goals.
Monitor campaign performance and optimize strategies for maximum impact.
Define content strategy and oversee the editorial calendar.
Review and approve marketing content to ensure consistency in tone, messaging, and brand identity.
Maintain and manage social media platforms, ensuring relevant and engaging content.
Oversee digital marketing initiatives including SEO, social media, and email marketing.
Analyze digital performance metrics and implement improvements to enhance engagement and conversions.
Stay up to date with emerging digital trends and technologies.
Collaborate with internal teams including sales, product, and customer support to align marketing strategies.
Build and maintain relationships with media houses, vendors, and advertising agencies.
Represent the marketing function in cross-functional engagements.
Develop and manage marketing budgets, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources.
Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance and ROI to senior leadership.
Plan, manage, and execute marketing events and promotional activities.
Lead, mentor, and manage the marketing and creative teams.
Monitor team performance, ensuring timely delivery of projects and achievement of KPIs.
Foster a high-performance culture through coaching and continuous development.
Key Requirements
Master's Degree in Marketing or a related field (preferred).
CIM certification and valid MSK membership.
Minimum of 7 years' experience in marketing.
At least 5 years' experience in Digital Marketing.
Experience in retail marketing and graphic design is an added advantage.
