Overview
FMR Agency is recruiting experienced and results-driven Direct Sales Agents to support customer acquisition and revenue growth within the digital payments sector.
The successful candidates will be responsible for identifying, engaging, onboarding, and activating new business clients across high-density commercial areas in Lagos. This role is primarily field-based and requires proactive prospecting, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to consistently achieve sales targets.
Candidates must have prior experience working with OPay, PalmPay, or Moniepoint, with a solid understanding of merchant acquisition and digital payment solutions.
Ultimately, you will drive merchant acquisition, increase product adoption, and contribute directly to the company's revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and engage potential business clients (SMEs, retail stores, hospitality outlets, corporate clients, etc.) within assigned territories.
Promote and sell digital payment solutions, including collections and payout services.
Conduct product demonstrations and clearly communicate product features and benefits to prospective merchants.
Support merchants through onboarding, KYC documentation, and account activation processes.
Achieve assigned monthly merchant acquisition and activation targets.
Maintain accurate records of daily sales activities using CRM tools or provided reporting platforms.
Provide post-onboarding support to ensure customer retention and continued product usage.
Gather and report market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitor activities to the sales leadership team.
Requirements
Minimum of OND / HND / BSc in any discipline.
2 - 3 years of direct sales experience within the FinTech industry.
Previous experience working with OPay, PalmPay, or Moniepoint is mandatory.
Proven experience in merchant acquisition, field sales, and customer onboarding.
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
Self-motivated, confident, and target-driven.
Ability to work independently in a field-based environment.
Good knowledge of the Lagos business landscape.
Basic digital literacy, including proficiency in smartphone applications, WhatsApp, and CRM tools.
