As our Director of Government Relations and Policy, you'll be a driving force behind shaping national nutrition policy and deepening Sanku's partnerships with government and key stakeholders. How You'll Deliver Impact
Lead national advocacy to advance food fortification compliance, enforcement, and policy adoption across relevant ministries and government agencies.
Cultivate and sustain high-level government partnerships, ensuring alignment through formal MOUs, structured engagements, and continuous strategic dialogue.
Oversee legal and regulatory compliance, securing all necessary approvals and tracking evolving policies to position Sanku as a proactive, compliant leader in the nutrition sector.
Develop and execute a national government relations strategy, identifying and advancing partnership opportunities that expand Sanku's reach and impact.
Provide strategic guidance to internal teams on policy, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement to ensure alignment with Sanku's mission and Kenya's nutrition agenda.
Strengthen Sanku's policy influence by leading stakeholder mapping, coordinating engagement forums, and representing Sanku in key fortification and nutrition platforms.
Engage with industry and local authorities to support compliance, drive fortification adoption, and unlock tax or regulatory incentives that enable scale and sustainability.
What We Are Looking For
8+ years of work experience, with 3+ years of experience related to Government Relations Management.
Bachelors' Degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Public Health, Consumer Science, Social Transformation (Master's Degree preferred) or any other related field.
Strong advocacy experience with government institutions, backed by a deep understanding of Kenya's political landscape, power dynamics, and government operations.
Extremely strong communication, negotiation and representational skills and ability to work with partners at different levels and experience in successfully developing networks and innovative partnerships.
