The Key Purpose of the role
is to lead the financial and associated risk mitigation strategy for the Division. Formulate financial targets and budgets with the senior management team.
Ensure that financial systems are robust, compliant and support the development of current systems into future-fit information system-requirements. Specialist financial advisor to the Divisional Managing Director and the senior management team.
Stakeholder management; holds key relationships with the operational COO's, operational Financial Managers, the Sales Executive and the Group CFO. Co-lead and develop the operational financial teams. Attendance and preparation of financial management information for the Divisional senior management team and Group financial management structures. Evaluation of Capital expenditure and submission preparations.
Responsible to stay up to date with changes in IFRS, the Companies Act and King IV requirements, and where necessary, align reporting requirements accordingly.
The qualifications, experience and skills required for the position:
BCom; BCompt (Hons); CA (SA) a M.Com or MBA will be advantageous
Extensive financial management experience of 8 - 10 years, of which at least 5 years are at senior management level within the FMCG industry
Expert technical knowledge of financial reporting, financial statements, auditing practice, legal compliance, governance, budgets, risk and control-environment management.
Advanced capabilities of data analysis (in its wider interpretation and within the changing landscape of AI and information systems) and forecasting methods
Proficient in MS Office and the ability to learn IT-related financial consolidation software
Capability to assess the feasibility of capital expenditure projects
Capability to understand the pricing and costing structure principles of an integrated poultry business
Stock and Asset management
Strong leadership and organisational skills
Excellent communication and people skills
The Key Accountabilities of the position:
Co-accountability for the strategic, financial and operational performance of the division
Be a strategic business partner to the Poultry Processing Director, staying close to operations
Overall responsiblity for the financial risk mitigation, reporting and governance compliance of the division
Financial planning and key cepital expenditure for business growth
