MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12 / Matric.
National Diploma in Draughting / Engineering Drawing or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience as a Draughtsperson in the mining industry.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar CAD software.
Sound knowledge of mining layouts, shaft systems, and infrastructure design.
Understanding of relevant legislation and safety standards.
ADDED ADVANTAGE
Experience with 3D modelling software.
Exposure to underground mining operations (e.g., shafts, decline systems).
Knowledge of GIS systems or surveying software
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare, update, and maintain technical drawings, layouts, and plans for mining operations and infrastructure.
Interpret and convert survey data, engineering designs, and geological information into detailed drawings.
Ensure all drawings comply with statutory regulations and company standards.
Collaborate with engineers, surveyors, and geologists to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
Maintain drawing registers and document control systems.
Conduct regular updates of plans to reflect operational changes underground and on surface.
Assist with project planning by providing accurate visual representations of designs.
Ensure adherence to Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) requirements.
