JOB OVERVIEW
Lead and drive all drilling and well engineering activities across the asset, with full accountability for well delivery, well integrity, and drilling performance across the entire well lifecycle from planning through to completion and handover.
The role provides technical authority on drilling and well operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution while maintaining CAPEX discipline and regulatory compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead planning and execution of drilling and well operations from well design through to completion and handover.
Provide technical authority and oversight on drilling engineering standards, well design, and execution strategies.
Ensure well integrity management throughout the drilling and completion lifecycle.
Manage drilling contractors, service companies, and rig operations to deliver safe and efficient outcomes.
Monitor drilling performance, operational risks, and well delivery costs (CAPEX).
Optimize drilling performance through cost control, efficiency improvement, and risk mitigation.
Ensure full compliance with drilling safety standards, well control practices, and regulatory requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 10+ years experience in drilling engineering and drilling operations.
Proven experience managing onshore and/or swamp drilling campaigns.
Strong technical knowledge of well design, drilling engineering, well integrity, and well delivery processes.
Demonstrated experience in CAPEX management and cost control for drilling operations.
Experience working with drilling contractors and integrated service providers.
Ability to provide technical leadership and decision-making in drilling operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
Relevant drilling and well control certifications are an advantage.
