Drip Irrigation Superintendent at Dangote

Job Summary


To oversee the entire irrigation system, ensuring efficient and effective water delivery to plants.
To lead a team of Drip irrigation workers and collaborate with other agricultural professionals to optimize crop production and water usage.


Key Duties and Responsibilities


Supervise the system installation, operation and maintenance of the drip irrigation systems.
Develop and implement irrigation schedules based on crop needs, weather conditions, water availability, ensuring water conservation and also conducting soil assessments.
Oversee and train irrigation workers, providing training and guidance on best practices.
Track water usage and maintain accurate records of irrigation activities and system maintenance.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to water usage and irrigation practices.
Oversee the maintenance and repair of drip irrigation equipment, including pumps, valves, filters etc.
Collect and analyze irrigation data to assess system performance and make improvements.


Educational Qualification and Work Experience


Bachelor's degree in any science related field
Minimum of 1 year working experience
Technical knowledge of operations and maintenance
