Job Summary
The Driver will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of staff, management, and company property across Abuja and, where required, other locations.
The ideal candidate must have excellent, first-hand knowledge of Abuja's roads, districts, and routes, and must be able to navigate the city confidently without relying on GPS or third-party guidance.
Key Responsibilities
Drive company vehicles safely and responsibly for official assignments and staff movement.
Navigate all routes within Abuja (and environs) accurately and efficiently without needing directions or navigation apps.
Maintain the assigned vehicle in clean, roadworthy condition at all times.
Conduct routine checks on the vehicle (fuel, oil, tyres, lights, etc.) and report faults promptly.
Ensure strict compliance with traffic laws and company driving policies.
Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and fuel usage.
Ensure the safety and security of passengers and any goods being transported.
Assist with errands, deliveries, and dispatch of documents/items as required.
Report any accidents, mechanical issues, or delays promptly to supervisors.
Perform any other duties assigned by supervisors or management.
Requirements
Minimum of an SSCE/OND or equivalent qualification.
Valid Nigerian driver's license (mandatory).
Must have excellent and accurate knowledge of Abuja roads, districts, and routes without guidance (mandatory).
Minimum of 3 years' proven driving experience.
Clean driving record with no history of accidents due to negligence.
Good knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance.
Physically fit, alert, and punctual.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Honesty, discipline, and a strong sense of responsibility.
