Key Responsibilities
Transport ServicesÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂï
Safely transport patients, staff and supplies to designated locations within and outside the hospital;ÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂï
Assist in boarding and offboarding patients, medical equipment, and other items with care and consideration;ÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂï
Ensure timely pickup and drop-off based on the hospital's transport schedule or emergency needs;ÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂï
Vehicle Maintenance and DocumentationÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂï
Perform daily checks on vehicle condition (fuel, oil, brakes, tires, etc.) and report any faults or maintenance needs;ÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂï
Ensure the vehicle is clean, roadworthy, and compliant with licensing and hospital safety standards;ÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂï
Ensure Vehicle license is duly always validÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂï
Escalate any incidents and accidents promptly to the transport supervisor providing accurate details of occurrenceÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂï
Maintain accurate transport logs, mileage records, and service documentation;ÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂï
Compliance and SafetyÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂï
Follow all traffic laws, hospital safety protocols, and infection prevention procedures;ÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂï
Respond appropriately in emergencies or medical transport situations as trained;ÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂï
Ability to operate basic IT-based technical gadgets; and,ÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂï
Any other responsibilities that may be assigned to the job him/her by the line supervisor from time to time.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Valid Kenyan Driving License with relevant driving classes: Ambulance operation will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 3 years of active commercial driving experience.
Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
KCSE Certificate or equivalent qualification.
Good knowledge of Nakuru roads and surrounding areas.
Clean driving record with no history of major traffic offenses.
Ability to communicate effectively in English and Kiswahili.
Physically fit and able to work flexible hours when required.
