Kwat Resources Int'l Ltd is seeking two (2) skilled and proactive Dump Truck Mechanics to maintain, diagnose, and repair our fleet of heavy-duty trucks. The ideal candidates will ensure maximum uptime, minimize breakdowns, and support efficient logistics operations across Lagos and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults on dump trucks
Perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles
Respond promptly to breakdowns (on-site and roadside repairs)
Conduct regular inspections to detect and prevent faults
Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
Work closely with the fleet manager to ensure trucks remain roadworthy
Ensure strict compliance with safety and maintenance standards
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 - 15 years experience working on dump trucks or heavy-duty vehicles
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, braking, and suspension systems
Ability to diagnose faults quickly and carry out effective repairs
Basic electrical troubleshooting skills
Experience in construction, quarry, or logistics operations
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight timelines
Strong work ethic, reliability, and problem-solving ability
Added Advantage:
Experience with trucks such as HOWO, Mack, Volvo, Sinotruck, and XCMG Hanvan
Ability to handle emergency roadside repairs independently
Technical certification in mechanical engineering or related field
