ROLE SUMMARY:
To adopt a holistic view to students in their care, promoting the general progress and well-being of individuals and of any class or group assigned to them.
To create a positive learning environment and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan prepare and present interesting and exciting stage 2 lessons
Establish a teaching environment that is nurturing, and which promotes engaged learning.
Behave in a professional manner regarding punctuality, behaviour, standards of work and students' wellbeing.
Evaluate, reflect on and refine teaching practice.
Be open to continuously develop ones teaching through personal and school wide professional development.
Assist with afternoon duties when required.
Produce resources of a high standard for students.
Respond to e-mails and telephone messages from parents within 24 hours.
Show loyalty to all facets of Reddam House.
Attend all special occasions at the discretion of the relevant Head.
Attend to ongoing observations and record holistic assessments as appropriate for the age group.
Complete reports on the provided platforms.
The post holder is required to undertake any other reasonable tasks that the School Head/line manager determine.

Skills and Previous Experience:
Ability to be a role model and reflect on own practice
Good planning, organising and reporting skills
Good communication skills (oral, written and presentation) and good time management skills
Good interpersonal skills and strong team orientation
Good with children and classroom management
Qualifications and Accreditations:
Matric and appropriate diploma/degree for early childhood development
Experience working with school children in a similar role
Security Clearance
Personal Competencies and Attributes:
An unwavering commitment to the development of children and a demonstrable passion for the profession
Excellent organisational skills and a positive attitude to change
Applicant must be available in June for training and handover of class.
