Job Description
Duties and responsibilities;
Class teaching
Role modeling, guidance and counseling, mentoring and motivation of the leaners.
Preparing reports
Ensuring the safety and security of the leaners v. Organizing and facilitating play learning activities to enable ECDE children cope with school life
Caring and nurturing spiritual, social, mental, moral, physical, aesthetic and emotional growth of learners (holistic development)
Managing the ECDE classes and keeping professional and administrative records (schemes of work, lesson plans, daily program of activities, attendance register etc.
Preparing and developing play and learning materials
Organizing community mobilization meetings on ECDE programmes
Provide guidance to ECDE Children and parents on curriculum matters
Requirements & Qualifications
Requirements for Appointment
KCSE certificate minimum grade D+
Certificate in ECDE from KNEC/MOE or other recognized institution.
A Diploma Certificate will be an added advantage
Must be registered with the Teachers Service Commission
Certificate in computer applications and a First Aid Certificate
Certificate in Kenya Sign language Interpretation for applicants applying to Iten school for the deaf.
