Job Description
The E-commerce Merchandiser is responsible for managing and optimising the online shopping experience, ensuring product is presented, discoverable, and personalised in a way that drives conversion and revenue. The role owns website content, search and navigation, personalisation, and A/B testing.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and update web content across the site, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely publishing.
Manage personalisation and web layering using Bloomreach Engage to tailor customer experiences by segment.
Plan, set up, and manage A/B tests on the website using Bloomreach Engage, analysing results and making data-led recommendations.
Manage and optimise product recommendation widgets using Bloomreach Engage.
Boost and bury products in search and category listings
Create and maintain trend pages to support campaigns and seasonal merchandising.
Curate product ranges across categories, ensuring commercial and editorial coherence.
Manage facets and filters to optimise product discoverability and browsing experience, with an awareness of the SEO impact of category and filter structuring.
Manage on-site search performance and merchandising rules to ensure relevant, high-converting results.
Ensure promotions, markdowns, and pricing changes are reflected accurately and merchandised appropriately on-site.
Qualifications and Experience
Degree in Marketing
Minimum of 2 years proven experience working on an e-commerce website, ideally within fashion or retail.
Experience working within a CMS.
Bloomreach experience advantageous.
Competencies
Good understanding of SEO principles.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Works well under pressure and manages competing priorities effectively.
Enjoys technical challenges and embraces new technology and tools.
Able to understand a desired outcome and run with it; takes ownership and responsibility for their work
