Education Partnerships Manager at EIDU

We're looking for an Education Partnerships Manager to play a pivotal support role in enabling the national rollout of the EIDU primary school programme and strengthening relationships with government and education stakeholders. This Education Partnerships Manager will work closely with the Head of Government Relations, to ensure the smooth execution of government-facing activities, education programme alignment, and the coordination of large-scale implementation.
What you will do:
Stakeholder Engagement, Education Systems Alignment & National Rollout Support:
Build and maintain relationships with senior national and county education officials. Ensure smooth coordination with stakeholders to help align EIDU's programmes with government priorities, and translate these priorities into actionable rollout plans and tools.
Strategic Support & Project Management:
Manage rollout activities aligned with Ministry of Education structures, while supporting the development of strategies, materials, and analyses for large-scale government partnerships. Contribute to monitoring and evaluation initiatives to help ensure programme quality by applying global best practices.
Negotiation, Procurement & Agreement Support
Prepare technical and briefing materials to support government negotiations while helping track compliance, contracting requirements, and regulatory processes. Coordinate documentation, follow-up actions, and provide analytical support on budgeting and cost structures for large-scale deployments.
Policy Analysis, Evidence Generation & Advocacy:
Monitor education sector policies and political developments, preparing policy briefs, insights, and advocacy materials that support strategic government engagement. Review data to identify trends, contribute recommendations, and help package evidence and lessons learned for dissemination to government and partners.
Cross-Functional Coordination & Technical Integration:
Collaborate internally to support government-related implementation, engagement with partners and donors. Consolidate updates into insightful reports for senior leadership.
High-Level Events, Delegations & Field Engagement:
Support the planning and coordination of high-level events with government and sector partners. Manage logistics, follow-up, and represent EIDU in technical or alignment meetings as needed.
What you should bring:
The desire to use your skills to bring about positive social change for children across the world.
Minimum of a Masters degree in Education, Business Administration, International Development, Public Policy, Social Sciences or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years experience, with at least 5 years in government engagement, project coordination, or education sector roles, with solid understanding of Kenya's basic education landscape and stakeholder dynamics.
Excellent interpersonal and advocacy skills, with proven ability to support negotiations and prepare clear, high-quality briefs and insights.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. English is required. Swahili is an added advantage.
Highly organised, analytical, and digitally proficient, able to manage workflows, interpret data, and coordinate multiple activities in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable working in an agile and hybrid startup environment across different continents, embracing change with a flexible and solution-oriented mindset.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, fostering inclusive and respectful communication in both local and global settings.
Willingness to travel across the country.
Great interpersonal skills to collaborate with people at all levels of the organisation and work with cross functional teams . Interested in contributing to others' success.
Highly organised person with strong attention to detail and process management skills.
Ability to work autonomously and reliably and have end-to-end project ownership.
