Key Responsibilities
Electrical Systems Management
Oversee installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all electrical equipment (motors, transformers, switchgear)
Ensure reliable power distribution across production lines (pulping, pressing, drying, calendaring).
Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime.
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations.
Supervise electricians, automation engineers, and technicians.
Automation and Control Systems
Manage and optimize PLC, VFD, and HMI systems used in production.
Troubleshoot control system faults and minimize production interruptions.
Standardize automation processes across machines and production lines.
Lead electrical and automation projects (machine upgrades, plant expansion, energy optimization).
Train and develop team members on electrical and modern automation technologies.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
Maintenance and Reliability
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
Drive root cause analysis (RCA) for electrical and automation failures.
Improve machine uptime, MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), and reduce MTTR (Mean Time To Repair).
Coordinate with mechanical and production teams for integrated maintenance.
Conduct risk assessments and enforce lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Maintain proper documentation for audits and regulatory compliance.
Energy Management
Monitor and optimize energy consumption across the plant.
Implement energy-saving initiatives (e.g., VFDs, load balancing, power factor correction).
Work with generators, grid supply, and backup systems to ensure uninterrupted production.
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain electrical schematics, automation logic diagrams, and manuals.
Provide regular reports on downtime, maintenance activities, and system performance.
Track KPIs and recommend improvements.
