Job Summary
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing, planning, installing, testing, commissioning, and maintaining electrical systems for industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects.
The successful candidate will ensure compliance with engineering standards, project specifications, safety regulations, and client requirements while delivering projects on schedule and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop electrical systems, power distribution networks, and control systems.
Prepare electrical drawings, load calculations, technical specifications, and project documentation.
Supervise electrical installations, testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with approved engineering standards and safety regulations.
Diagnose electrical faults and implement effective corrective actions.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors, and clients throughout project execution.
Prepare project reports, cost estimates, technical proposals, and material specifications.
Ensure adherence to quality assurance, HSE policies, and regulatory requirements.
Support project planning, execution, monitoring, and timely project delivery.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree (B.Eng. / B.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience in electrical engineering.
Professional certification and membership with relevant engineering bodies (e.g., COREN, NSE) is an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of electrical design standards, power systems, and industrial electrical installations.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, Dialux, MS Office, and other relevant engineering software.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
