Summary
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel generators ranging from 20kVA and above.
Responsibilities
Install, commission, and test diesel generators (20kVA - 500kVA)
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance.
Diagnose and repair electrical faults in generators, control panels, ATS/AMF systems.
Perform load testing, performance checks, and system inspections
Maintain accurate service and maintenance records.
Ensure compliance with HSE, company policies, and Nigerian electrical standards.
Provide technical support to clients and respond to emergency breakdowns.
Work closely with mechanical engineers and field technicians.
Requirements
HND / BSc in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
Professional Qualification is an added advantage.
Minimum 3 years' hands-on experience with diesel generators (20kVA - and above).
Experience: Good years of experience in installation of generator set.
Strong knowledge of generator electrical systems and control panels.
Experience with ATS/AMF panels and basic synchronization.
Ability to read electrical diagrams and troubleshoot faults.
Knowledge of earthing, load management, and protection systems.
