​Job Overview


We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Electrical Engineer to lead our workshop team respon- sible for the design, manufacture, and assembly of various electrical boards. The successful candi- date will combine strong technical design capability with leadership, client engagement, and strict adherence to international and local electrical standards.
This role requires an electrical engineer who is comfortable moving between design office, work- shop floor, and client engagement.


Key Responsibilities


Technical Design & Engineering
Design electrical boards and electrical panels in accordance with project specifica- tions.
Produce detailed electrical drawings, schematics, layouts, and bill of materials.
Ensure designs comply with international and local electrical standards (e.g., IEC, or applicable local codes).
Review and approve workshop drawings prior to fabrication.
Workshop Leadership & Manufacturing Oversight
Lead and supervise a workshop team involved in; Sheet metal cutting, bending, and fabrication, and Panel assembly, wiring, and testing
Provide technical guidance to workshop personnel during manufacturing and assem- bly.
Ensure quality control, safety, and compliance throughout the fabrication process. Coordinate workflow to meet project timelines and delivery schedules.
Standards, Quality & Compliance
Maintain strong working knowledge of electrical standards and regulations, both in- ternational and local.
Ensure all designs, materials, and manufacturing processes meet compliance and cer- tification requirements.
Undertake inspections, testing, and commissioning activities where required.
Client Engagement & Proposals
Engage with clients to understand technical and functional requirements.
Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and design concepts aligned with client needs.
Provide technical input during tendering and project clarification stages.
Support project execution by addressing client queries and design changes.


Qualifications & Experience


Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical design and power distribution systems.
Proven experience in design and manufacture of electrical panels / distribution boards.
Hands-on experience working with or leading a workshop team.
Strong understanding of electrical standards, codes, and best practices.
Experience in preparing technical proposals and client documentation.


Required Skills & Competencies


Strong electrical design and drafting skills (AutoCAD, or similar tools).
Excellent understanding of power systems, protection devices, and control compo- nents.
Leadership and team management skills.
Ability to translate client requirements into practical, compliant designs.
High attention to detail, quality, and safety.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience with testing, commissioning, and factory acceptance tests (FAT).
Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes and workshop practices.
