Job Summary
The Electrical & Maintenance Technician will be responsible for carrying out electrical installations, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair of factory machines and equipment to ensure smooth production operations.
The ideal candidate must have strong technical knowledge of industrial electrical systems, machine maintenance, and fault diagnosis.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on factory machines and equipment.
Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and resolve them promptly.
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical wiring, panels, motors, and control systems.
Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize machine downtime.
Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements where necessary.
Respond quickly to machine breakdowns and production emergencies.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and company policies.
Maintain records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and spare parts usage.
Support installation and setup of new machines and equipment.
Ensure tools and maintenance equipment are properly handled and stored.
Liaise with production teams to ensure operational efficiency.
Requirements
Minimum of OND, Technical Certificate, Trade Test, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
2 - 5 years relevant experience in factory machine maintenance and electrical work.
Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and machine repair.
Ability to read electrical diagrams and technical manuals.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of safety procedures and preventive maintenance practices.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
Knowledge of PLC systems and industrial automation is an added advantage.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Working Conditions:
Factory/production environment.
May require shift work or overtime during machine breakdowns or urgent production schedules.
