Brief Description

As an electrical supervisor for a loom assembly production line, you will support our engineering team in taking cabling schematics and developing wire harness assemblies for generators and electrical panel boards. You will supervise a production technician's team and monitor the production line under responsibility to meet up with quality, and output requirements through a strict follow-up of the established procedures.

Duties


Collect production plan from the Production Planner/Production Manager on weekly basis.
Collect production material from store.
Supervises the processing and assembly of electrical DC looms, control panels etc. Complete point to point wiring, and install a wide variety of electronic and electro mechanical components.
Determine the method and sequence of assembly operations.
Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, specifications and work orders to determine materials requirements and assembly instructions.
Make sure that the production plans and programs are carried out by the staff.
Assure production related needs are accomplished and completed per schedule or production requirements.
Inspect work as necessary to ensure quality and accuracy.
Report the finished products (panels) to the Production Planner/Manager and store.
Supervise DC Harness section.
Uphold and sustain 5S in the section.
Use safety equipment, and protective devices and equipment as standardized for the section.
Maintain safe and clean environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Instruct, supervise, and transfer skills to DC Harness workers assigned to him to ensure high level of safety and quality of work.
Prepare reports to Production Manager.
Take up IMS responsibilities such as reporting unsafe act, condition or procedure in the work place, participating in fire or emergency drill at work, participating in incident reporting and investigation when necessary and adherence to Company policies.


Competencies


Considerable knowledge of electrical generator equipment
Considerable knowledge of electrical tools and electrical control devices
Excellent knowledge of supervisory techniques and employee policies and procedures.
Ability to supervise production, assembly, repair, and do strict quality control on the outputs
Ability to direct and supervise employees in the production section
Ability read shop drawings (layout, control diagrams, power diagrams), datasheets and manuals
Ability to sketch and design electrical layouts of electrical panels wiring and wire harnesses.
Ability to make mathematical computations
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Ability to maintain favourable relation
Able to meet tight deadlines and to work under pressure
Strong knowledge of industrial hazards, safety and health precautions, and environmental concerns
Strong communication skills
Strong reporting skills
Excellent time management techniques


Minimum Requirements


High School Degree. Electronics Engineering Degree, BE. Electro-Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent is a plus. Other certifications in electronics assembly is a plus.
Min 7-8 years of proven work experience in electrical assembly and wiring.
