Key Responsibilities
Carry out preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on production machines.
Diagnose and repair electrical faults on injection moulding, blow moulding, and auxiliary equipment.
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical panels, motors, sensors, contactors, relays, PLCs, VFDs, and other industrial electrical components.
Ensure all machines operate safely and efficiently with minimal downtime.
Perform routine inspections and electrical testing of factory equipment.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and machine manuals.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
Ensure compliance with company safety policies and electrical standards.
Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to improve machine reliability and efficiency.
Recommend improvements that enhance equipment performance and reduce maintenance costs.
Requirements
Minimum of an OND, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
NYSC or discharge certificate
3 - 5 years' hands-on experience as an Electrical Technician in a plastic manufacturing company.
Strong knowledge of injection moulding and blow moulding machine electrical systems.
Practical experience with PLCs, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), sensors, electrical control panels, and industrial automation.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical faults quickly and effectively.
Good understanding of industrial safety practices and preventive maintenance.
Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
