Job Overview
The Electrician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing electrical and electronic systems in the company\\\'s trucks, vehicles, and other operational equipment at our Calabar location. The role will ensure that vehicles are electrically safe, reliable, and available for operations.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair electrical faults in trucks and other company vehicles.
Inspect vehicle electrical systems and identify faults before they result in breakdowns.
Maintain and repair batteries, alternators, starters, lighting systems, wiring, switches, sensors, and other electrical components.
Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems in heavy-duty vehicles.
Ensure electrical repairs are completed safely and within the required timeframe.
Maintain proper records of repairs, faults, parts used, and maintenance activities.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum of SSCE/WAEC/NECO; relevant technical qualification or trade certification is an advantage.
Proven experience as an Electrician, preferably in a haulage, transport, logistics, or heavy-duty vehicle environment.
Experience working on trucks and heavy-duty vehicles is highly desirable.
Good knowledge of vehicle electrical and electronic systems.
Ability to use electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
Experience
Minimum of 3 - 5 years\' proven experience working as an electrician.
At least 2 years\' experience working on trucks, trailers, buses, or other heavy-duty commercial vehicles is preferred.
Experience diagnosing and repairing vehicle electrical and electronic systems.
Hands-on experience with batteries, alternators, starters, wiring, lighting systems, sensors, switches, and vehicle electrical components.
