Job Role
To install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures in compliance with safety standards and regulations. The electrician ensures reliable power supply, minimizes downtime, and supports operational efficiency across facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Maintenance
Install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, systems, and equipment.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns.
Ensure proper functioning of lighting, power distribution, and control systems.
Troubleshooting & Repairs
Diagnose electrical faults and carry out timely repairs.
Replace defective components such as switches, wiring, and circuit breakers.
Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns.
Safety & Compliance
Adhere to electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
Ensure safe use of tools, equipment, and protective gear.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
Coordination & Reporting
Work closely with other technicians and departments to support operations.
Provide daily reports on completed tasks, issues, and recommendations.
Assist in planning upgrades and energy efficiency improvements.
Qualification
Qualifications
Diploma/Certificate in Electrical Engineering or related field.
2 - 4 years' experience in electrical installation and maintenance.
Knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations.
Valid electrician's license or certification (where applicable).
Skills and Competencies
Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems.
Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams.
Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Attention to detail and safety awareness.
Knowledge of energy-saving technologies.
Basic understanding of automation and control systems.
