Key Responsibilities


Plan and deliver high-quality English and Drama lessons at GCSE and A Level, aligned with
Edexcel or Cambridge International curriculum requirements and school values. Support for Primary School Productions.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom culture that supports curiosity, creativity, and student voice.
Prepare students effectively for external examinations through clear instruction, structured practice, and timely feedback.
Assess, track, and report on student progress accurately, using assessment to inform teaching and support individual learning needs.
Encourage confident communication, critical thinking, and thoughtful performance, both written and practical.
Contribute positively to the wider life of the school, including productions, enrichment activities, and collaborative planning.
Integrate local culture and context where appropriate to enrich drama learning
Manage classroom behavior effectively and maintain high expectations
Maintain high standards of behaviour for learning, professionalism, and safeguarding at all times.
Engage in ongoing professional development and reflective practice to continuously improve teaching and learning.


Qualifications & Skills


Bachelor's degree in English / Drama, Performing Arts, Education, or a related field
Teaching qualification (e.g., PGDE, PGCE, or equivalent) is a strong advantage
Registered with TSC
Experience teaching Cambridge or Edexcel IGCSE / GCSE Drama is highly preferred
Strong knowledge and expertise with international teaching pedagogy and assessment methods
Significant experience directing dynamic and creative student productions
