Job Purpose
To support and administer the enterprise virtualisation environment and associated infrastructure services within ICTS. The role is responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, scalability, and stability ofvirtualised server environments and supporting enterprise systems aligned to institutional operational and technology objectives.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or in a related field
Relevant VMware, virtualisation or infrastructure certifications will be advantageous
Experience with enterprise server, storage and data centre environments
Experience with high availability, clustering and performance optimisation
Experience in the Higher Education environment will be advantageous
Recommendations:
Candidates who are currently studying towards a degree in a relevant IT-related field, and who are expected to complete their qualification within the next year, may be considered
At least three to four (3-4) years' experience in VMware or enterprise virtualisation platforms
