Job Summary
The Executive Personal Account Support Officer is responsible for managing and overseeing the personal financial affairs of the Executive Chairman.
The role ensures accurate financial record-keeping, effective cash flow management, banking coordination, and strict confidentiality in handling all financial matters.
The position requires a highly trustworthy, detail-oriented, and financially competent professional capable of providing dedicated executive-level financial support while maintaining compliance with applicable financial and governance standards.
Responsibilities
Personal Financial Record Management:
Manage and maintain comprehensive records of personal income, expenses, investments, and liabilities.
Record all financial transactions in designated registers and accounting systems.
Ensure proper documentation and secure filing of financial records.
Maintain up-to-date financial summaries for review by the Executive Chairman.
Banking & Financial Liaison:
Manage all bank accounts of the Executive Chairman.
Liaise with banks, financial advisors, investment managers, auditors, and other financial professionals.
Resolve banking issues and follow up on transactions where necessary.
Monitor bank charges, account activities, and compliance requirements.
Cash Flow & Financial Monitoring:
Monitor and manage personal cash flow.
Forecast future financial needs and provide advisory support.
Track income streams and scheduled payments.
Ensure availability of funds for planned obligations and commitments.
Payment & Disbursement Administration:
Receive and disburse funds as directed by the Executive Chairman.
Execute all authorized payment instructions promptly and accurately.
Maintain proper documentation for all receipts and payments.
Ensure secure and traceable transaction processing.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Provide financial updates and summaries upon request.
Highlight discrepancies and recommend corrective measures.
Support preparation of financial documentation for audit or advisory purposes.
Reconciliation & Controls:
Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements.
Conduct regular cash reconciliations.
Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Implement internal controls to safeguard financial assets.
Confidentiality & Compliance:
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all financial matters.
Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations and documentation standards.
Safeguard sensitive financial information and documentation.
Other duties:
Perform any other tasks assigned by the Executive Chairman or Line Manager.
Requirements
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field (minimum of Second Class Lower or equivalent).
Professional Certifications (Advantageous):
ACA / ACCA
ICAN membership
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) (advantageous)
Certification in Financial Management or related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in accounting, personal financial management, or executive financial support.
Experience managing financial records for senior executives or high-net-worth individuals is an added advantage.
Experience in a structured corporate or professional environment preferred.
Technical Skills:
Microsoft Excel proficiency
Familiarity with accounting and bookkeeping software
Strong report writing skills
Knowledge of banking operations and procedures.
