Job Description
Deliver structured, systematic phonics lessons daily.
Teach letter sounds, blending, segmenting, decoding, and encoding skills.
Support early reading, spelling, and handwriting development.
Prepare weekly lesson plans aligned with learning objectives.
Use engaging teaching aids, games, and activities to reinforce learning.
Identify emerging learners and provide targeted interventions.
Assess and track pupils' reading progress regularly.
Maintain an organized, print-rich, and stimulating classroom environment.
Collaborate with class teachers and parents to support learners' progress.
Requirements:
Minimum of NCE/B.Ed in Early Childhood Education, English, or related field.
Must have completed NYSC.
Proven experience teaching phonics in a preschool or primary school.
Strong understanding of Jolly Phonics or other systematic phonics programs.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Patient, creative, and enthusiastic about early literacy development.
Ability to work effectively within a team.
