Job Role/Objectives
A reputable construction company is seeking an Experienced Electrical Engineer to oversee electrical project execution, system design, installation, and maintenance across construction projects.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring all electrical works comply with design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Position Overview/Responsibilities
Design power distribution system, electrical layout, single line diagrams, and wiring schedules.
Plan, direct and coordinate electrical installation, maintenance, testing and documentation activities in line with project specifications, codes, and client requirements.
Install electrical equipment including transformers, switchgear, disconnects, and motor control centres.
Monitor and expedite delivery of electrical materials and equipment to meet project timelines
Inspect completed electrical installations and observe system operations, to ensure compliance, safety, and operational standards.
Read, interpret, and review technical drawings, schematics, and design specifications.
Record, analyse and interpret test data.
Identify issues, propose system modifications, and supervise re-testing where necessary.
Collaborate effectively with design engineers, contractors, clients, and other project stakeholders
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical/Electronics Engineering.from a recognised university
Minimum of 5 years post-NYSC experience in electrical project execution and coordination within a construction or engineering environment.
Membership of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and COREN registration is an added advantage.
Professional membership with any internationally recognised Engineering body is desirable.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is mandatory
Strong understanding of power distribution systems and electrical installation standards.
