We're looking for a highly skilled Pattern Maker to join our growing fashion house.
The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in pattern drafting, a keen eye for precision, and the ability to translate complex, creative designs into production ready patterns.
Key Responsibilities
Develop accurate patterns for couture and ready-to-wear garments using internationally recognized methods.
Interpret detailed sketches and design concepts into well-fitted, production-ready patterns.
Work closely with designers, tailors, and production teams to ensure excellent cut, fit, and garment balance.
Adjust and refine patterns as needed during fittings or prototype reviews.
Maintain pattern records, ensure consistency, and contribute to the development of standard sizing systems.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years proven experience as a professional pattern maker in a fashion or couture setting.
Proficiency in either the Natalie Bray or Helen Armstrong pattern drafting methods (experience with other international standard systems will also be considered).
Deep understanding of cut, fit, proportion, and garment construction.
Ability to interpret and execute complex and extensive designs accurately.
Experience with draping patterns is a strong advantage.
Attention to detail, precision, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
