Purpose Of The Role
The Facility Supervisor is responsible and accountable for the delivery of all FM related operational services, with a support a team. This involves all aspects of building facilities and supply partnerships. This position is accountable for creating, sustaining and delivering provision of all facility management services to the client, ensuring Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) statutory, operational and commercial compliance with EHS legislation, client and CBRE standards.
The Facility Supervisor shall maintain a visible presence and a point of contact for the local client and escalation for locally site based occupants at all times. The incumbent shall drive the culture and working practices through staff management and ensuring CBRE standards are embodied in the local facilities management culture.
Key Performance Areas
Soft Services:
Third Party Supplier Management - catering services, cleaning and waste management, security, mail, hygiene & pest control, grounds & indoor plants contracts management and Ad-hoc suppliers
Ensure adherence to SLA's
Cost management / budget control of all site services within scope
Purchasing / Procurement of services for above mentioned sites
Develop maintenance schedule for all services and equipment
Act as a customer interface for operational property matters, key CBRE business contacts and local client portfolio (cGMP cleaning requirements as agreed upon with the client)
Lead the direct reporting staff, build the facilities team and supply partner relationships
Proactively develop ongoing opportunities to ensure cost efficiency
Ensure information is cascaded to the site team through aligned site management objectives
Operate and comply with CBRE and agreed client business processes and procedures
House Keeping, Safety, Health And Environment
Conform to Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Act at all times
Identify and report on potential hazards and exposure at the client site
EHS Reporting on all incidents and audits
Control of works using the clients permit to work system
Monitor security systems and procedures.
Conduct regular inspections according to CBRE requirements
Contractual and Strategy implementation
Implement continuous improvement activities and initiatives at the client site
Manage service delivery to maximize contract reward mechanism and ensure CBRE is not penalized through not meeting performance
Support implementation of CBRE strategic and operational initiatives
Maintain a pro-active relationship with the client and understand the site as well as current and future

Ensure staff leave is accurate and up-to-date
Submit overtime and expense claims within cycle
Finance Management
Track expenses against forecast / budget with on-site finance
Control and manage budgets across soft services and project delivery cost lines ensuring staff focus on billing and collection processes
Identify and inform on potential expense exposure
Identify and implement potential savings
Comply with procurement standards
Effective inventory control
Education And Experience
High School Diploma
Facilities Management Qualification or equivalent
Minimum experience required is 3 years in a facilities supervision role
Computer Literacy - Full MS Office Suite
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
Experience in management of supply partners and contractors
Ability to implement successful change management initiatives
Knowledge of corporate EHS strategy, standards and requirements
Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation
Knowledge of Service Level Agreements and risk assessment methodology
Sound understanding of continuous improvement and problem solving
Financial acumen and budget management experience
Health and safety certification
Management or supervisory experience
Strong interpersonal, leadership and people management skills
