Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Facility Engineer to manage and maintain our retail facilities in Alimosho.
The ideal candidate will ensure all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing, operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily facility operations, including HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), electrical, and plumbing systems
Monitor and maintain HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and indoor air quality
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of equipment and infrastructure
Diagnose and resolve faults in HVAC and other building systems
Respond promptly to maintenance issues and emergency repairs
Manage vendors and contractors for facility-related services, including HVAC servicing
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
Monitor utility usage and implement cost-saving initiatives, especially energy efficiency for HVAC systems
Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports
Support store operations by ensuring minimal downtime of facilities
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or HND in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)
3 - 4 years' experience in facility management, with strong HVAC experience (retail experience is an advantage)
Solid knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and plumbing
Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining HVAC equipment
Good problem-solving and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems is an added advantage
