JOB SUMMARY
The facility Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of the hospital's physical infrastructure, equipment, and utilities to ensure that facilities are safe, functional, compliant with regulations, and conducive to delivering high-quality healthcare services. Ensuring both routine and periodic maintenance of the hospital's infrastructure and amenities.
DUTIES
To provide support to the facility manager, coordinating and ensuring both routine and periodic maintenance of the hospital's infrastructure and amenities.
Manage unplanned maintenance, repair, and recovery for the facility with emphasis on HVAC.
Monitor and ensure that agreed work by contactors are completed satisfactory and follow up on any deficiencies.
To provide support to the facility manager to rectify issues related to OSH (Occupational health and safety) infection control policies, waste management policies, among other facility health and safety requirements.
Prepare weekly and monthly report of the facility activities, report and notify on OSH Hazards, incidents, near miss issues and assistance, along with the preparation of risk assessments, incident reports etc.
Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise
Maintain detailed log of complaints, response, and response time, failing components replaced and associated costs.
To actively support the Facility manager for the continuous maintenance and evolving long-term planning and improvement of the facility and the facility management system.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of HND or Bsc Degree in Engineering or any related field
At least 2 years' experience with facility management duties, with emphasis on ability to manage primary, to secondary level AC repairs and other related mechanical maintenance assignments.
Must have experience in generator maintenance, AC repairs and water treatment (Pumps & Compressors).
