Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organized Facility Officer to oversee the day-to-day management of our facility support operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising janitorial staff, ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained work environment, coordinating facility maintenance activities, managing inventories, and supporting the Administrative Manager in achieving operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities


Supervise and coordinate janitors, cleaners, and housekeeping personnel.
Develop and implement cleaning schedules for offices, production areas, restrooms, corridors, boardrooms, showrooms, and other common areas.
Monitor the quality of cleaning services and ensure compliance with company standards.
Manage the attendance, deployment, productivity, and performance of janitorial staff.
Support the Administrative Manager with problem-solving, project planning, project management, and the execution of departmental goals and objectives.
Orient and educate newly hired cleaning and maintenance staff on company policies, cleaning procedures, safety standards, facility layout, and the proper use of equipment and supplies.
Prepare and maintain daily reports on activities, employee performance, and inventory requirements.
Develop employee work schedules and assign tasks while ensuring compliance with break periods, attendance policies, and work standards.
Monitor and enforce high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and tidiness across all facility areas.
Coordinate routine facility inspections and maintenance activities to ensure operational efficiency.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and service requests.
Prepare periodic facility management and operational reports.
Monitor inventory levels of cleaning materials, facility consumables, gardening tools, and related supplies.
Assist in budget planning and cost control for facility maintenance and support services.
Perform other facility management duties as assigned.


Qualifications and Experience


Bachelor\'s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Environmental Health, Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Hygiene, Facility Management, or any related discipline.
Minimum of 2 years' relevant work experiencein a similar role.
Demonstrable experience in facility administration within a fast-paced and highly demanding work environment.
Proven ability to exercise sound judgment, professionalism, and discretion when handling administrative matters.


Required Competencies


Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Outlook, and internet applications. *(Practical proficiency may be assessed during the recruitment process.)*

Salary

₦150,000 - ₦250,000 per month (based on qualifications and experience).
