Requirements for appointment
Be a Kenyan Citizen;
KCSE Certificate;
Certificate in Mortuary Science from a recognized institution;
Training in embalming and grief counselling will be an added advantage
Be computer literate.
Duties and responsibilities
The Farewell Home Assistant shall be responsible to the employer and the supervisor for the following;
Collecting and receiving bodies within the hospital and outside through the prescribed procedures;
Recording bodies received;
Washing the bodies, embalming, and refrigeration;
Scrubbing and assisting in post mortems;
Counselling the relatives;
Releasing the bodies to the relatives as per the laid procedures; and
Any other duty that may be assigned by the supervisor.
