Key Responsibilities
Design, install, and maintain fiber optic networks, including backbone, metro, and last-mile connections.
Perform fiber splicing, termination, and patching in accordance with industry standards.
Conduct fiber testing using OTDR, power meters, and light sources to ensure signal integrity and performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve fiber faults, outages, and performance degradation promptly.
Support network rollout projects, upgrades, and expansions.
Interpret network diagrams, fiber route maps, and as-built documentation.
Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and record-keeping of fiber routes and connections.
Collaborate with IP engineers, field technicians, and operations teams to ensure end-to-end network functionality.
Monitor network performance and proactively identify potential issues.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company engineering procedures.
Provide technical support during customer installations and service escalations.
