Desired experience and qualifications:
BSc in Agronomy, Soil Science, Crop Science, Agriculture, or related field (non-negotiable).
3 - 5 years practical, field-based agronomy experience.
Fluent in Afrikaans and English (non-negotiable).
Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively across the Free State.
Hands-on, field-oriented, and confident presenting to farmers and sales teams.
Duties & Responsibilities will include:
Provide agronomic support to Technical Sales Representatives and clients through regular on-farm visits (3 - 4 days/week).
Deliver expert advice on crop nutrition, soil management, and fertilisation strategies.
Interpret soil and plant tissue analyses and develop tailored fertilisation programmes.
Identify and troubleshoot crop issues, including nutrient deficiencies and environmental stress factors.
Assist with field trials, demonstrations, and upskilling of sales teams.
Work across row crops (maize, wheat, soybeans) and high-value crops (fruits and vegetables).
Starting Salary:
R35 000 - R40 000 per month + company car, laptop, fuel, & cellphone.
