The Role:
AHF is looking for an experienced Field Coordinator to manage on-the-ground implementation of a survey. This is a field-heavy, logistics-intensive role - the person in this position will be the operational lead on the ground, ensuring enumerators are deployed, communities are engaged, field problems are resolved in real time, and data collection proceeds on schedule.
This is a fixed-term contract role for the duration of the survey (15 weeks), with the possibility of extension depending on programme needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead day-to-day field implementation of the survey across all LGAs
Manage and supervise LGA-level field enumerators and supervisors
Coordinate community mobilisation and sensitisation across LGAs, working with Local Government Health Authorities and associations
Manage field logistics — transportation, equipment, printing, and daily reporting
Identify and resolve field bottlenecks in real time, escalating to the Research & Data Coordinator as needed
Conduct regular supervisory field visits to monitor enumerator performance and data quality
Submit daily and weekly field progress reports to AHF
Support enumerator training and the pilot review process
What We Are Looking For:
At least 3 years of field coordination or field supervision experience on community-based surveys or public health programmes
Experience managing multi-LGA field teams across Lagos State is strongly preferred
Familiarity with digital data collection tools (SurveyCTO, ODK, or equivalent)
Strong community engagement and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and resolve logistical problems quickly
Experience working with health authorities or in a Ministry-partnered programme context is an advantage
Lagos-based and available to travel extensively
