Job Summary


The Finance & Accounts Manager will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing financial data, and providing valuable insights to support the company's financial decision-making process. Other responsibilities that will help to achieve this include:


Responsibilities


Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
Analyze financial data and prepare regular financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide insights on the company's financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring adherence to financial goals and targets.
Prepare and submit accurate and timely tax returns, including corporate tax, VAT, pension remittances, payroll tax, etc., ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory bodies and legislation.
Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits, providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
Monitor cash flow, prepare cash flow projections, and make recommendations to optimize cash management and maintain adequate liquidity.
Utilize ERP software and accounting tools effectively to streamline accounting processes, maintain data accuracy, and improve overall efficiency.
Develop and implement financial policies and procedures and ensure adherence to accounting standards, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with other team members, such as project team, QS team, HR, etc., to provide financial guidance, support decision-making, and facilitate effective resource allocation.


Requirements
Below are the qualifications and requirements:


Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., ICAN) and M.Sc. is an added advantage.
7-10 years work experience as an Accountant, preferably in the construction or engineering industry with at least 3 years management/supervisory level.

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
Proficiency in accounting principles, financial analysis, and financial reporting.
Strong knowledge of accounting/financial software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel, ERP systems).
Familiarity with construction-specific accounting practices (e.g., project accounting, job costing) is highly desirable
