Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) presents an exciting opportunity for a Finance Analyst: Key Account, to join the Finance team at CCSBA.
Key Purpose
The Finance Analyst: Key Account role serves as a strategic finance partner to the commercial team, transforming financial data into actionable insights that drive profitable growth. The role is responsible for optimising trade spend investments, enhancing forecast accuracy, safeguarding account profitability, and ensuring sound financial governance across key customer accounts.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Key Outputs and Accountabilities include, but not limited to:
Trade Spend Management: Audit and analyse promotional spending (Trade Spend). Ensure that "buy-one-get-one" deals and end-cap displays actually drive the expected ROI.
Customer P&L Ownership: Maintain and analyse individual Profit & Loss statements for top-tier accounts. Identify leakage in deductions, or pricing errors.
Weekly Forecast Reporting & Analysis: Manage weekly bottom-up volume, NSR and Naked Margin forecast by channel & customer.
Forecasting & Planning: Collaborate with Key Account Director to build annual volume and revenue forecasts.
Contract Support: Provide financial modeling for upcoming contract negotiations or new product launches (NPD).
Optimise Trade Spend Efficiency: Partner with the Key Account Director to review promotional ROI; identify and phase out bottom-performing deals to improve net margin.
Deliver Precise Sales Forecasts: Produce monthly volume and value forecasts for key accounts, ensuring a variance to actuals within the recommended threshold to optimise production planning.
Maximise Account Profitability: Conduct deep-dive P&L reviews for top-tier retailers; highlight at least two actionable mix or pricing opportunities per quarter to the Country Lead.
Ensure Settlement Integrity: Resolve 95% of customer deductions and trade claims within 60 days to safeguard cash flow and prevent aging financial disputes.
Streamline Budgeting Cycles: Coordinate the annual bottom-up budget process for assigned accounts, consolidating inputs from Sales into a finalised commercial plan.
Enhance Commercial Financial Literacy: Train account managers on P&L drivers and "Value-Based Selling" to ensure sales targets align with CCBSA's profit goals.
Governance & Contract Adherence: Audit customer contracts quarterly to ensure all pricing, rebates, and performance incentives are executed exactly as negotiated.

Skills, Experience & Education
Qualifications and Experience
Education
BCom (Honours) in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (required).
CIMA or CA(SA) certification (preferred).
Experience
3 - 5 years of experience in Commercial Finance or Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
Direct experience in FMCG or beverage manufacturing is highly preferred.
Proven track record in managing trade spend and retail P&Ls.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial systems (MSD preferred)
Experience in margin improvement or pricing strategies (advantageous)
Skills
Advanced Data Analysis: Expert-level Excel (modeling, Power Pivot) and experience with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau.
ERP Proficiency: Familiarity with systems for trade management.
Commercial Acumen: Deep understanding of the "Route-to-Market" and retail landscape.
Communication: Ability to challenge Sales leaders effectively while maintaining a collaborative partnership.
Attention to Detail: Precision in handling high-volume transaction data and complex rebate structures.
