Based at the Nairobi Head Office, the Finance and Administration Manager (FAM) will be responsible for ensuring the financial sustainability of the organization by maintaining a robust financial system that aligns with both internal policies and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). The FAM will be responsible for promoting operational efficiency across the Organization.

Duties and Reponsibilities:


Oversee financial systems, reporting, audits, and compliance with accounting standards.
Manage administrative operations, ensuring smooth running of all facilities.
Lead budgeting processes, monitor implementation, and provide financial guidance to project teams.
Ensure statutory compliance across countries of operation and secure applicable legal registrations and exemptions.
Enforce procurement policies and ensure cost-effective purchasing practices.
Manage investment of surplus funds in line with Board approved strategies.
Ensure all projects are supported with properly equipped and well-maintained offices.
Oversee donor financial reporting and maintain health and effective donor relations.
Supervise departmental staff and address team concerns professionally.


Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field, with a specialization in Finance or Accounting; a Master's degree in Finance or Management is an added advantage.
Certified Public Accountant CPA (K) or ACCA qualification is required.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in finance and administration, with at least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
Demonstrated experience in administrative management, including office operations, facilities oversight, procurement, and asset management.
In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, statutory compliance requirements, and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with multidisciplinary teams, external partners, and regulatory bodies.
Strong organizational and leadership abilities, with a proven capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment both independently and collaboratively.
Experience in donor financial management, including understanding of donor requirements and preparation of donor reports is an added advantage.
