Job Objective: The Finance Associate supports the financial operations of the agency by ensuring accurate record-keeping, regulatory compliance, and efficient financial administration. This role plays a key part in maintaining the company's financial health by managing documentation, supporting budgeting processes, overseeing payroll coordination, and ensuring adherence to internal financial controls and government regulations.



The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with statutory requirements



Key Responsibilities:


Maintain accurate financial records, including invoices, receipts, and payment documentation.
Ensure cost control with vendors
Process vendor payments and staff reimbursements in line with company policies.
Prepare budgets for projects, events, and internal departments.
Track project expenses and ensure costs remain within approved budgets.
Perform bank, vendor, and account reconciliations regularly.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Prepare financial summaries and reports for management review.
Ensure compliance with financial procedures, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
Liaise with vendors and internal teams regarding payment schedules and documentation.
Process payroll, PAYE, VAT remittances, and ensure compliance with all statutory and government regulatory requirements.
Support audit processes by organizing financial records and required documentation.


Key Requirements:


Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA) is mandatory.


Knowledge, Skills & Attitude:


Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Close attention to detail and accuracy.
Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
High level of integrity and confidentiality.
