Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented Finance Intern to support the Finance and Accounts team in maintaining accurate financial records, processing financial information, preparing reports, and supporting routine accounting and finance activities. The role provides practical exposure to financial management, accounting operations, reporting, compliance, and internal controls within a fast-paced business environment.

Key Responsibilities


Assist with the preparation, review, and maintenance of financial records, schedules, and reports.
Perform accurate data entry and update accounting and financial records in accordance with established procedures.
Assist with bank, cash, supplier, customer, and other account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
Support the preparation of invoices, payment documentation, vouchers, and other financial records.
Assist with accounts payable and receivable activities, including tracking outstanding balances and supporting payment processing.
Support the preparation of tax computations, schedules, returns, and other statutory compliance documentation.
Assist with audit preparation by compiling supporting documents, schedules, and financial information as required.
Conduct basic financial and accounting research and assist in resolving accounting or reporting discrepancies.
Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, cash-flow schedules, and other financial analyses where required.
Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records to ensure completeness, accuracy, and easy retrieval.
Support the Finance team in monitoring adherence to financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Perform other finance and accounting-related duties assigned by the Finance team or supervisor.


Basic Requirements


A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
0-2 years\' experience in the relevant field.
Basic knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, taxation, and financial controls.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Working knowledge of accounting and financial management software, including QuickBooks, Excel, Sage, Zoho Books, or SAP, will be an added advantage.
Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
Good organizational, time-management, and record-keeping skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion and professionalism.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to learn, take initiative, and adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
