Qualification: Must be a chartered Accountant (ACCA, ACA) with relevant university degrees. MBA and / or Professional qualification in Risk Management is an added advantage
Experience: A minimum of 8 years' post NYSC experience with 3 years in a senior management role. Prior working experience in private public partnership will be an added advantage
Key Responsibilities
Provides assistance to the Centre Director in leadership and guidance to designated departments to ensure the financial stability of the organization.
Ensure that Company financial plans are fully aligned with the overall finance strategy
Oversee all external and internal reporting ensuring the integrity and timeliness of all reported figures.
Use insightful commentaries to help all stakeholders understand the financial performance of the Company and to inform decision making.
Employs a system of responsible accounting, including budget and internal controls.
Ensures that monthly and quarterly financial reports are completed and distributed on a timely basis.
Actively manage the Company cash flow through accurate historical reporting and robust forecasting.
Ensures that all balance sheet accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis and a system of internal controls are in place to facilitate a clean audit.
Maintains effective revenue cycle processes and identifies ways to increase the Centre's cash-flow.
Manages the cost-reporting process and understands financial impacts.
Provide Quarterly financial reports to the Group (Head office) to support account consolidation and Board submissions,
Provide annual financial statement preparation for the entity
Implement sound treasury practices, governance and compliance
Ensure legal and regulatory compliance in respect of all financial aspects of the business.
Implement and maintain internal controls according to international best practice.
Oversee all accounting ledgers and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
Ensure that the Board and Management are always fully informed of the full year financial outlook through the sharing of accurate and timely re-forecasts for the year.
Additional Requirements
Experience with SAGE software, Microsoft Office Suite and other financial tools.

Hands-on knowledge of developing and implementing financial control mechanism
Previous audit experience is essential for the role
