Job Role
The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the hospital's financial operations, ensuring sound financial governance, compliance, and sustainability. The role involves managing budgets, financial reporting, audits, and resource allocation to support the hospital's strategic objectives. The ideal candidate combines strong accounting expertise with healthcare financial management experience to drive efficiency, transparency, and growth.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Planning & Budgeting
Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Monitor budget performance and variances.
Advise management on financial implications of strategic decisions.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Prepare timely and accurate financial statements.
Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to management and board.
Conduct financial analysis to support operational and strategic decisions.
Compliance & Audit Oversight
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and healthcare regulations.
Coordinate internal and external audits.
Maintain adherence to hospital financial policies and procedures.
Revenue & Cost Management
Monitor hospital revenue streams and optimize billing processes.
Implement cost control measures across departments.
Support initiatives to enhance financial sustainability.
Risk Management & Governance
Identify and mitigate financial risks.
Strengthen internal controls and accountability frameworks.
Ensure transparency in financial operations.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead and mentor the finance team.
Support staff training and professional development.
Foster a culture of integrity, accountability, and performance.
Qualification
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
Professional qualification: CPA(K) (mandatory).
Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or MBA (preferred).
Minimum 7 - 10 years' progressive experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
Experience in healthcare financial management is an added advantage.
