Job Summary
The Finance Officer supports the day-to-day financial operations of the Company by maintaining accurate financial records, supporting budgeting and reporting processes, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. The role supports cash management, financial controls, and reporting, while providing reliable financial information to support management decision-making and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations
Record and manage daily financial transactions, including receipts, payments, and reconciliations.
Monitor company income, expenses, and cash flows to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial records.
Support cash management activities, including wallet funding, settlements, and treasury operations.
Assist in budget preparation, track budget performance, analyze variances, and provide financial data to support management decisions.
Support cost monitoring and expense control to promote efficient use of company resources.
Accounting & Reporting
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, summaries, and management information.
Maintain complete, organized, and up-to-date accounting records and supporting documentation.
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting processes.
Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to audit queries.
Compliance & Controls
Ensure adherence to company financial policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks.
Support compliance with statutory, regulatory, and internal financial requirements.
Identify discrepancies, control gaps, or irregularities in financial records and escalate appropriately.
Support the implementation and continuous improvement of internal controls to safeguard company assets and minimize financial risk.
Support & Collaboration
Work closely with operations, compliance, and other internal teams on finance-related activities.
Provide accurate financial data and insights to support planning, forecasting, and management decision-making.
Assist with financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting processes as required.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or CPA is a strong advantage.
Minimum of 2 - 5 years' relevant experience in finance, accounting, or related roles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
Skills and Competencies

Strong analytical, numerical, and reconciliation skills.
Ability to monitor cash flows and support budgeting and forecasting activities.

Work Environment
Primarily office-based with periodic interaction with operational and project teams.
