Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Fish Farm Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our fish farm located in Elele, Rivers State.
The ideal candidate must have good knowledge of fishery processes, fish farming operations, and fish handling practices.
The candidate will be responsible for supervising fish production activities, ensuring proper feeding, pond management, fish health monitoring, and maintaining high productivity standards.


Key Responsibilities


Supervise and coordinate daily fish farm activities.
Monitor fish feeding schedules and ensure proper nutrition management.
Oversee pond/tank maintenance and water quality management.
Monitor fish growth, health, and mortality rates.
Ensure proper stocking, harvesting, grading, and handling of fish.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the farm environment.
Identify and report fish diseases or unusual behavior promptly.
Supervise farm attendants and ensure tasks are properly carried out.
Keep accurate records of fish production, feeding, medication, and inventory.
Ensure compliance with farm safety and operational procedures.
Assist in implementing strategies to improve fish production and reduce losses.
Maintain farm equipment and report maintenance needs when necessary.


Job Requirements / Specifications


Minimum qualification: OND / HND / B.Sc. in Fisheries, Aquaculture, Animal Science, or related field is an added advantage.
1 - 3 years' experience in fish farming or related fishery practices.
Good understanding of fishery processes and aquaculture management.
Knowledge of fish feeding, breeding, water management, and disease control.
Ability to supervise workers and manage daily farm operations effectively.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Willingness to relocate to Elele, Rivers State.
