Our Client in the Automotive/Manufacturing industry, has a new vacancy for a Fitter based in Port Elizabeth/Gqeberha.
Minimum Requirements
Qualified Fitter (Trade Tested)
Minimum of 5 years' post-trade experience
Proven experience in a manufacturing or maintenance environment
Experience with steel fabrication, including interpreting and working from technical drawings
Arc welding experience
Hydraulic systems experience, with the ability to read and interpret hydraulic drawings
Injection moulding experience will be advantageous
Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport will be advantageous

Key Performance Areas
Perform preventative and planned maintenance on production equipment
Attend to mechanical breakdowns and carry out repairs to minimise downtime
Inspect, maintain, and service production support equipment
Carry out steel fabrication work according to engineering drawings and specifications
Install and maintain PVC piping systems
Diagnose and resolve mechanical and hydraulic faults
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and company procedures
Complete maintenance documentation and reports accurately
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and production efficiency
